The Nine Intentions

one for each turning point

3 · 6 · 9

What you give light to
finds its way back to you

Three is what you say. Six is where you return. Nine is what you receive. Each candle holds one part of the pattern the whole book runs on, but the magic is in the order. One candle is a word. The set is the sentence.

I choose myself. I choose peace. I choose to receive.

Nine candles,
nine turning points

The numbers run one to nine, and three, six and nine carry the arc. Every other one is named for a moment you already recognize — find yours, light it, and let the room agree with you.

That’s the thing about signs — they don’t announce themselves. As a quiet voice in the middle of the night that says: not this. I’ve written it because silence almost killed me. I have to become love to find love. When something resists you that strongly, listen. I allowed myself to be heard — loud and clear, without shame or fear. You can’t hear the quiet voice of intuition when you’re screaming inside. I remembered every time I’d made myself smaller so a man could feel bigger. I learned that being alone doesn’t mean being lonely — it means being free. Sometimes we’re the sign someone else needs. Watching someone else choose themselves reminds us that we can too. I used to think following the signs meant having all the answers. I made choices I’d make again and choices I wouldn’t. The life I am meant to live isn’t a destination. You picked up this book for a reason.
